Hey you, I'm Helen!
I'm utterly obsessed with collecting your favourite moments and producing beautiful images that will last a lifetime and beyond. Photos need to tell your story - and they can be more powerful than words on a page. My style is relaxed, warm and emotive.
Confession time. I'm about to expose myself here...
When I've not got a camera in my hand, I've usually got my phone attached to it. Leaving podcast-style voice notes for friends (right up to that 30-min limit), or scrolling through socials and seeing what everyone is up to.
I didn't try a cup of tea until I was 30...nearly a decade later and I've not tried one since (literally tastes like how I'd imagine pond water).
I adore dogs and have two little rescues - Huxley and Winnie. They're cute but a tad feral at times (you can take the dog out the streets...). I would love more dogs at weddings!
I have a slight penchant for TK Maxx - love a bargain and can spot a Zara number on the rails from the car park.
I got married in Ibiza and have a major soft spot for a destination wedding. However it was in the middle of a global pandemic (remember that time we had to queue for Tesco and everyone panic bought toilet roll?!) so added a little layer of stress as to whether it would go ahead (even up to the week prior...and our photographer got covid and cancelled the day before!).
I fall asleep on the sofa, a lot.
People often tell me how lovely and kind I am, and I live in fear that one day they'll witness my road rage and swiftly change their minds.
I have a teenage daughter who is weirdly like me. Except when she's annoying. That's all her.
I'm a highly sensitive person and might have a little cry at your wedding - don't worry though, I have a steady hand and will do it quietly.
I have a real soft spot for the older generation - you'll see this in my work.
Just as I collect moments for people, I collect friends along the way too. The industry is bursting with amazing people and I love making new connections and following journeys (don't let the voicenotes put you off).
